Antivirus Programs

What are Antivirus Programs?

Antivirus programs are programs especially designed to eliminate viruses that are potentially harmful to your computer system. Some viruses can be so destructive that they can literally crash your computer while others can linger in your systems computer without you knowing of their existence until there rupture date. Today alone there are roughly over sixty three thousand viruses known and the list is still growing. Out of all the Antivirus Programs out there on the market today the most highly sophisticated one is Symantec Norton Antivirus.

What other Antivirus Programs are there?

The best one in the market so far as said before is Norton Antivirus next to it is Mcafee Antivirus and then there others like Turbo Antivirus and probably others. But none are better than Norton; Norton has the best technology when it comes to unknown viruses.

What does Antivirus mean?

If we would take the word Antivirus and divide it up into two words we would come out with this: Anti being one of them and Virus being the other. An Antivirus program is designed especially to eliminate viruses for example, when a unknown virus hits a computer with Norton Antivirus it still detects it but it also quarantines it meaning that it makes the file unreadable and also the user cannot open the file. The only way to get rid of it is to send it to the Symantec Corporation to fix the virus and the file because only they have the right utilities to fix those problems.

What should I do then if I get a bad Virus?

I would either delete that file if you can but if the file pertains to a certain program then I would clean slate your computer and start from scratch.
